The actual size of a sharkfin for eating…

One day walking around in a shopping mall, I came accross a dried sharkfin on display. The sharkfin that we normally used for eating i guess, because this shop was a chinese herbal shop that also sells dried imported delicacies from china. For now i am assuming that this sharkfin on display is somewhat for eating but to my surprise is the size of it.
For comparison reason, this is a comparison of an adult hand next to the sharkfin.
This must be one big shark. But for now i really dont actually know to eat this. Or is it supposed to be eaten at all.
