Fried Voltage Regulator

Why, i was so lucky that i got screwed by my parents cause i indirectly almost set the house on fire. Well I bought a Power Logic Voltage Regulator to power and protect my PC. Since where i stay is an old place and power voltage is not that stable because power sometimes goes on and off for a split second. Example: my room lights flicker but my PC still runs or my PC just looses power while my lights are still on. The power regulator is supposed to help protect from power surges as well as thunder storms are quite common around here. But i guess its about time its life span has timed up and when things get faulty, its not good. Used it for about 2 and a half years now. I was not around when in happened, but lucky my parents were, and by the time they found out, my room was full of smoked…. so when i came back i got it really hard from them. Why was it on? well torrenting is not a 1 hour or 2 hour job…. that should explain.

Boy, now i’m scared of voltage regulators…. just bought a BELKIN 6 socket surge master for RM130 to replace it…. BELKIN had better work as what it claimed… dun wanna start a fire now, do we?

Of all the bad things that happen today… it has to be a DAMN car accident, thou not a major one, but the DAMN damage is enough to empty up half a months salay. In my point of view, i have really no idea who was in the wrong, but based on discussion with the party involve, it seems to me that the car a banged into was the cause of the accident. DAMN Illegal U-Turn at the most DAMN unexpected place you can DAMN imagine. Hard to explain but i’ll leave it at that. Finally we concluded that we managed our own cars privately without going through any NGO or Governemnt Authority as frankly, those DAMN systems are really a DAMN hassle and can just waste 1 DAMN whole day just to make a DAMN report and 2 weeks of DAMN ivestigation. Insurance will take about 1 DAMN week to process, and then maybe about another DAMN week of repairs and i can’t drive the car in that DAMN duration, so it’s a really DAMN big hassle just to claim that DAMN insurance. Its not that the car isn’t drivable… it’s just not nice to look at but the lights still work fine thou. DAMN… what timing…. i dont think i can get it out of my DAMN mind for awhile and DAMN i have quite alot of work to do… I need to fix this as soon as possible, and i’m running low on cash, and it’s just so DAMN…

GSC homepage bombed?

Today is the 25th of June on a thursday night, just a day after the transformers revenge of the fallen premier and i just wanted to try and check the GSC (Golden Screen Cinema) schedule for a movie as i’m going out with old school friends to Mid Valley. Guess what? The GSC homepage was overloaded with i don’t know what happen. It took so damn long to load and all i get was a plain html page with a simple login and the login doesn’t work. Logging in will get you a php error.

This kinda looks like a DDOS attack. Damn irratating, they better get this fix by tomorrow else i dont think i’m gonna watch any movies cause i hate being in a ticket queue.

It has been a very long working life… day in and day out i stare at the monitor spending about 12 hours glued to it…. that’s work for me, and its stressfull… but thanks to Jon Schmidt’s piano play which i stumbled across facebook and youtube… its a fantastic piano play which i can never get tired listening to… downloaded it and listened to it whole day long today… great for stress relieve…. here are the 2 favourites and recommended piano plays…

Lost in Time, Universe and in a pile of work

Woah and Damn, it’s been almost 4 months since my last post, well, the last i recalled was going to Langkawi with a bunch of friends and had booze and liquer everynight for 5 days 4 nights and was practically half dead. Right immedietly after that was 2 rough weeks of job hunting with interviews everyday and landed a job by the second week. Soon after was a lonely Christmas (sob…) New year… then work, work and work till the today.

Seems that i landed a job in a medium software firm programming online systems for Call Service Centers and Banking Systems. Practically its been a day in and day out from 9.30am to 6.30pm officially, but unofficially till 11pm at times, that is not including travelling time . It seems that i am now starting to make the effort to blog again. Hope it will keep on going. Have work hanging around, and welcome to the working world. GRea……

Smiley Night

Tonight my mom’s lazy to cook dinner, so my family went out for dinner. It was about 8.15 when we finished dinner and while walking back to the car, I decided to stretch my neck and the night greeted me with a smile. This was really out of the blue, this doesn’t happen and i was really surprise to see 2 nicely alligned stars on top of the cresent moon thus making a smiley face. I quickly drove home and tried taking a shot with a cheap point and shoot camera. The camera is not very good at night shots and has very bad image stabilizers but i still got a shot that could still show the smiley.

After Storm Tree Uproot….

Just yesterday, there was a heavy rain storm with very strong winds. The wind was so strong that it wasn’t the usual heavy rain storm that comes and go around here. The 3 hour rain was quite a mayham. Rain was splashing on my windows as if someone was spraying water directly at it. Water was slowly seeping through the window gaps and my room got wet because of that. I could see the trees waving madly about as the wind just blows through as if trying to shred all the leaves off and the house drainage? it overflowed. Well the 3 hours was quite something but storms like this are quite expected around here, just depends on your luck.

That night however as i wanted to clear the trash (daily duty), to my surprise, Oh MY! “Mom, the tree you planted 3 years ago just got uprooted!”. It was quite late to do anything at that time so we waited untill morning to check out the damage.

Well, this is a 2 storey tall tree which just got uprooted. The house roof is fine thou.

Nothing i can do at my end to save it.

That storm really took it out nice.

Looks like its “bye bye” to the tree. No more shade in the kitchen from now on.
