ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice Gundam (Master Grade)

ZGMF-X19A ∞ Justice Gundam Master Grade scale 1/100. After for so long the MG is finally out. Released near the end of October the Infinite Justice Gundam is something that cannot be missed. Appeared at the end of the third quarter of the Gundam Seed Destiny Series, it is a major upgrade from the original ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam. Now packed with more close range armements like the beam blades which are mounted on the legs and the wings of the subflight lifter. The beam blades are capable of slicing through armor like wielding a beam saber. It also now comes with an interesting grappler hook and a really big beam boomerang. The sad thing thou is that it doesn’t come with a stand.

This MG took me quite a short time to build, about three and a half hours which includes the little extra detailing. This MG Infinite Justice model is suprisingly quite agile and easy to pose, but sometimes i find it quite complicated to get the bolts angle correct. I’ll admit that i broke a small piece in the process and boy did i freaked out. I managed to fixed it somehow with super glue, but now i have to be really careful with that piece or else it’ll break again now that it’s super fragile. Overall its a good gundam. If things get stuck, don’t push it, i forgot that rule.

GN-002 Gundam Dynames + GN Arms Type-D HG

Gundam Dynames, Long range sniper Gundam in the Gundam 00 anime. This model here comes with the GN Arms Type D. The model is HG size at size ratio 1/144. Appeared almost at the end of season 1 and got blown up aswell. Gundam Dynames is equipped with a GN sniper rifle and 2 beam sabers standard, an optional GN beam pistol for close range combat. It is also equipped with a full GN shield and 24 GN missiles. The weapon not included would be the ’super substratospheric altitude gun’ which is capable of shooting at whatever that orbits round earth. The GN Arms Type D however is like an additional Exosuit that carries a heavy load of weapons and a heavy surround GN Shield. The heavy weapons seems to be 2 standard large size GN cannons, a twin barrel Heavy GN Rifle on one hand and a very large missle container on the other.

This model took me roughly 4 hours to build up. At first i thought it would be like the Exia Gn Arms but it seems to take me longer to make. The GN arms Type D is about 70% the same as the Type, basically only the arms are different. Personally I prefer the detail on the Exia more than the Dynames as the Dynames is plain and sometimes awkward at some angles while the Exia looks way better. Then again the GN Arms Type D looks way cooller than the Type E especially that long twin barrel rifle.

METEOR UNIT + Freedom Gundam 1/144 HG

Gundam Freedom + METEOR unit, High Grade and comes in 1/144 scale. Quite sad that there isn’t a master grade but its understandable cause even in HG its already so big, i wonder how would a MG 1/100 feel like. Anyway METEOR stand for Mobilesuit Embedded Tactical EnfORcer. The METEOR unit is a heavy backpack that is armed with alot of missles, 2 super high energy beam cannons, another 2 high energy beam cannons and 2 very big engines, big enough to suck another gundam in. When it first made its appearence in the ending of Gundam Seed, it was really a fantastic alpha strike. Compared to all of the Gundam Series i have known, this is most probably the second largest backpack ever appeared. Furthermore, this backpack is actually a detachable front turret from flagship Eternal. Not to mention, the 2 super high beam cannon can be converted to an Anti-ship sword. The METEOR unit currently only houses the Gundam Freedom and Gundam Justice both version Seed Version and Seed Destiny Version. Here we have the normla Gundam Freedom.

Overall, the HG is not difficult to assemble. Infact i would say it is easy. Thou i would say that i was abit disappointed that most of the METEOR unit is hollow, the 2 super high energy beam cannon can be assembled with only less than 10 parts. Detail wise is not that great. It only looks great to a certain extent. It took me a normal 4 hours to build this, a normal 1/100 HG would usually take the same time. This is how easy it is to assemble.

This is a big model and requires quite alot of space for display. Clear some space before getting it.

Macross Zero 1/60 Perfect Transformation SV-51r Ivanov (Completed)

Macross SV-51r, from the Series Macross Zero and piloted by the characters from the Anti-United nations faction. This is the Ivanov version or more directly coloured based on the character DD Ivanov preference. Equiped with the normal gunpod and a built in minigun on the plane itself, it has 6 underwing mounting points for external armaments. External Armaments is only the Turopov SA-19M I/IR-guided micro-missile which the SV-51 could carry 18 at any 1 time. The SV-51 could also carry 2 booster packs for extra afterburner kick.

Ok let me mention something important, this model (my model) somehow is particularly hard to unlock and lock pieces into place and because it is fragile i actually broke something….. the leg *OMFG. Well lucky me that the part of the leg that broke was not that bad after inspection. It could still be saved by glueing it back together tightly. I used Elephant glue, a super strong glue which is more effective than the ”UHU” brand. So from that time onwards, i was extra carefull in moving everything. Not something i would want to give to a kid who has no sense of caution when you say “be very careful with it.” (It isn’t cheap either, it’s the most expensive Macross unit in the whole Macross range)

Macross PLUS 1/60 Perfect Transformation YF-19 25th Anniversary Model (Completed)

The Macross YF-19, supposedly an experimental fighter in the Macross PLUS series before it became mass produced in Macross 7 and renamed the VF-19. The YF-19 is the earliest VF(Variable Fighter) that seemed to look properly good compared to it’s predecessors at it’s time. Although at first glance it seems rather bare with not much armaments except for its Gatling Gun Pod which most VFs have, it is actually quite heavily equipped based on specifications (mahq.net specs on YF-19). What i got here is the 25th Anniversary version, which the only difference is the sleek black colour instead of the white or beige colour from the original release.

Simple action post

Perhaps i should say that although it may feel nice to get this model, i realize one thing which i find it problem for me. The transformation manual book is in japanese and i don’t know how to read japanese, so it took me quite a long time to figure out how to get the fighter mode into gerwalk and battleroid and vice versa. The model is not all that solid too so be careful if you try to unlock things from their positions.

ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam Master Grade

ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam model Master Grade 1/100. Released on May 2008. Quite an interesting gundam in my opinion as it is like a power ranger style transforming type gundam if you know what i mean. Supposedly the Impulse Gundam looks like a ZAFTs version of the Aile Strike. Currently as i write this, there is no blast or sword backpack yet only the flyer unit here. It is equiped with 2 x MMI-GAU25A 20mm CIWS, fire-linked, 2 x M71-AAK “Folding Razor” anti-armor knife, a MA-BAR72 high-energy beam rifle on the right arm and a MMI-RG59V mobile shield mounted on the left arm .

Overall its one slightly complicated gundam i would say, and abit flimsy as it now has more smaller parts to consider like the core splendor mounting on the chest flyer in gundam mode. Seems quite loose on my model, don’t know about others thou. At a quick glance you might mistake it for the Aile Strike, but with more observation, the details are quite different. Took me 4 hours to assemble everything and about a ridiculous half an hour to combine them together for the first time.

this is when it is in pieces. The chest flyer, Leg flyer and core splendor. Pilot sits in core splendor and the others are fully auto-pilot.

The box set also comes with a compatibility unit that allow you to modify the impulse to equip it with the IWSP backpack. Looks good thou i have to admit. Of course the IWSP unit doesn’t come with the box set. I took it from my Strike IWSP box set.

I have to say thou action posing for this model was quite a challenge for me because the Force Silhoutte doesn’t seem to stick well with the Chest Flyer. And the hands of the chest flyer are not strong enough to hold heavy objects like the IWSP gun shield. But overall it still stands quite well.

GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02/E-X03 Sword and Launcher Strike Gundam Master Grade

The GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02 Sword Strike Gundam and GAT-X105+AQM/E-X03 Launcher Strike Gundam in one package Master Grade finally. Released on April 2008. This is the 2 additional weapons pack for GAT-X105 Strike Gundam when the Aile version was out long time ago.

Took me around 4 hours to assemble this model as i had to figure out how to actually put the wepons pack on. I thought it was just slot on but it was slightly more than that. In the end all went well.

GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam HG

GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam, one of my favourite gundams due to its sophistaced fighter tranformation. Appeared in the first Seed series and was apparently a stolen unit from the OMNI enforcer. Armed with 2 x “Igelstellung” 75mm multi-barrel CIWS, 4 x beam saber, 60mm beam rifle, and a huge “Scylla” 580mm energy cannon. This to me is really one gundam which catches peoples attention. Unfortunately its only available in HG. I guess its just to complex to make an MG out of it or a PG I wish.

As we can see the GAT-X303 Aegis fighter mode is like no ordinary airplane with wings, it looks more like a spear head. This is what makes it special, thrusting around like a sharp spear you do not want to be infront of when flying around. Funny thing is i don’t recall it flying in earths atmosphere in the series but only in space, most probably because there is no wings (sad).

Another thing about GAT-X303 Aegis flight mode is that it opens up to a bigger weapon not available in GUNDAM mode, which is the huge “Scylla” 580mm energy cannon, one of the biggest cannon in the Seed Series arsenal, almost or bigger than most cannons found on most battleships. This is one surprising weapon for a gundam especially when its inbuilt stock with the gundam itself. Because it is able to open up that way it also provides the ability to grapple huge stuff like…. another gundam for instance.

ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam HG

ZGMF-X23S Saviour Gundam, ZAFTs unit in the Gundam Seed Destiny series. Armed with a decent variaty of weapons which are 2 x MMI-GAU25A 20mm CIWS, MMI-RD11 aerodynamic shield, 2 x M106 “Amfortas” plasma beam cannon, 2 x MMI-GAU2 “Picus” 76mm machine gun; 2 x MA-7B “Super Fortis” beam cannon; 2 x MA-M941 “Vajra” beam saber, and a MA-BAR70 high-energy beam rifle. This HG model is quite an interesting model as it is transformable to a fighter mode and GUNDAM mode. The fighter mode looks really decent compared to most other gundams in the seed series in my opinion other than the sophistaced aegis.
